A survey of ethno-medicinally important tree species in Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary, central India

The study was carried out in Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary, central India. forest is classified as a tropical dry deciduous type, with teak Tectona grandis the predominant species. Extensive field trips were during 2018–2020 to document medicinally important tree medicinal importance of these plants recorded through interviews, group discussions local tribal communities and on basis literature available. Enumeration species this area showed occurrence 50 belonging 37 genera 21 families. further observed that several being used traditional medicine by folks, healers area, also pharmaceutical industries. some sanctuary rare due developmental projects, destruction, over-exploitation. provides details about botanical identity, family, name, plant parts utilised uses for treatment diseases. present paper identified their conservation status accordingly recommends priority area. We recommend documentation might be helpful drug formulation preservation knowledge.
